The Rezzonators are an acoustic "blues'ish" duo made up of Mike Shipman and Pete Gabony. Mike and Pete have been playing together in Sway Acoustic Blues for over 10 years and in 2010 decided to put a new duo act together. And what is "blues'ish" music...?, this is a phrase coined by the Rezzonators, "blues'ish" music consists of blues and blues related music from a wide range of styles and era's, so a mix of country blues, soul, bluegrass, Rhythm and Blues, country, old time - from early 1900's, right up to 2010 can be heard at their gigs.
Their music is based around two voices, and you may hear guitar, dobro, lap steel, mandolin, banjo and harmonica. Their approach to music is wanting to create an atmosphere which encourages interaction and involvement with their audience, has a significant dose of humour, utilises good melodic songs which are played at a volume where the audience can still hear themselves think, order drinks and carry on a conversation if they wish. They try as much as possible to bring new and different songs into their set rather than relying on the well used numbers (although they can turn their hand to them if requested).
